Moto X Pure & Car Bluetooth

Although my Moto X Pure automatically and immediately connects to my cars bluetooth, I'm having an issue when making calls. I'll call someone and the car will connect to the call then disconnect and start playing the radio until whoever I'm calling picks up the line. This leaves whomever I'm calling saying "hello" until the phone call is played over the cars audio system. It's only a few second delay from the time the call is answered to when the car starts playing the phone call on the audio system. I tried forgetting my car in the bluetooth settings and reconfiguring the connection but that didn't help. The Bluetooth audio connection worked flawlessly on my Galaxy S5. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Did you update to Marshmallow? The update introduced all kinds of Bluetooth issues I didn't have before the update. I just did a system restore last night which people say will fix it. Haven't really gotten to try yet, hopefully it does work. I have a 2016 Ford Escape.

I have a Toyota Camry and any moto I have had is the worst when it comes to actually working correctly. If I end a phone call I have to turn off Bluetooth on my phone and reenable it or the car shows I'm still in call.

I have the exact same issue with my 2013 Honda accord. Its so annoying. ive googled this problem since the first day the update came out. Recently i unselected some of the options under each Bluetooth connection i have. After the recent update a few days ago that was a security update, i got a call and made another call and it worked fine. I heard the dial-tone for a change which I knew meant that it was working. Ill try to troubleshoot this and get back some time in the next couple of days to make sure that it is in fact working again.
