I'm torn between these phones. I'm looking to trade in my LG G4 for one of them (I can get about $270 on swappa for it) and I was curious about what you think.
Reasons to get Moto X Pure:
Price: I need a 32GB. Amazon has the 32GB Moto X Pure on sale for $399, while the 6p is $499.
Moto Customization: I had a Moto X in the past and I really miss the Moto Display feature. I hear it's much better than Google's ambient display. Also, the fact that the Moto X Pure has been updated to marshmallow makes me more comfortable with purchasing one.
Micro SD support: I like storing all of my music and photos on micro SD. I have a 32GB card in my G4.
Reasons to get nexus 6p:
Updates: I've always wanted a Nexus phone because I hated waiting for updates. My wife has the 5x and I'm so jealous that she's on a newer version than I am.
Performance: most reviews of these devices say that the 6p has better performance with the snapdragon 810 then the pure does with the 808.
Camera: most reviews are saying the 6p camera is really great. I've heard the Pure has a decent camera, but I haven't heard as many glowing reviews. Coming from a G4, I don't want a huge step back.
Other thoughts :
I don't care about fingerprint sensor. I'm unlikely to use it anyway.
I usually end up buying a clear thin case. I like if my phone looks good, but the material it's made of of isn't that important since it's in the case.
I usually only hold onto phones for a year, so I don't care about whether there will be software updates 3 years from now.
Amy thoughts?
