I have note 5 and v10. I can still return note 5 In gold to best buy get my 700 back and buy a moto x pure. Honestly I just love the look of the gold note 5. The performance of the v10 is just as good and it does the same things the note does for me and the durability of it is most important to me. Important things for me are camera, screen, lag, durability, social status (yup ha). Obviously note 5 last in durability but nicest looking. Camera is great on v10 and note 5. Screen great in both performance great.

How's the pure match up to these two phones? Trying to be smart here and return the note, buy the pure and save 300 bucks. It's just the look of this gold note 5 is amazing. What would you guys do? I don't want 3 phones, 2 is all I need. V10 is for work (own a construction company so the durability is huge). And note 5 for social status outside of work pretty much.

The Note 5 is better, no doubt in my mind. I came from a Note 3 and 3 other Samsung phones prior to that. However, I refuse to pay $700-$800 for a phone anymore and the MXPE fits the bill. Good performance (never lags), good camera, lack of bloat, timely updates (I've had MM for a couple weeks now), SD card slot, and price. I got the 32gb version and I'm using a 64gb card with it so plenty of storage. I'm happy with it.

I will say that my next choice was the V10. That's a nice phone.

Thanks. Yeah I'm playing with the v10 and note side by side right now and the note is better but thinking about the fact i paid near 800 bucks is ridiculous. I'm gonna go Return it tomorrow.

Actually I came from the note 3 and 4 that I loved. Had the moto since it first came out and waiting for my v10 to get here.. Moto has let me down a bit.. The moto is a OK phone. And when they get mm bugs worked out will still be good for the pridlce but. The v10 has all the things I miss that the note 5 did away with. I miss a good camera, removable battery, wireless charging, durable build, and hifi audio.. Only worry to me is the size.. How is it in your hands?

I have to admit I got a Galaxy S6 a couple of days before Christmas. Best Buy got to me with their free 32 inch Samsung TV when you get a Samsung phone. I had really wanted to try Samsung in the first place, and some missing features, like a fingerprint scanner, wireless charging, started needling me, so I went for it. I still had an upgrade on Verizon so I could do it.

So far, I have to admit I am enjoying the smaller size a lot. And for the first time I have 2 new, great phones I can use. The MXP is a fantastic phone for a great price and I love it. There are pros and cons for both, but I'm liking the S6 just a smidgen better right now. Time will tell...

Yes you're very right. Time is always the deciding factor with phones as longevity is important. Which is why I got the MXP instead of the S6. Galaxies start out great and are smoother than butter. But as time goes on, the lag becomes very apparent. I'm happy someone else is able to justify the importance of time in a review though.

I love the v10 the note 5s screen pops a lot more though. But actually holding in my hands I feel like I'd drop the note 5 way better the v10. It's pretty thick and has a firm grip. Using both phones one handed feels the same to me. It's only a little taller but since it's because the second screen I can still reach across the main screen fine.

Yeah, I'm afraid of that, which is why I didnt just go for the Galaxy line in the first place. But like I said, the offer got to me. Plus I just love phones and would probably have them all if finances allowed. :)

I had a Note5 and absolutely loved it, slight annoyances notwithstanding. (Granted, the Note 4 also holds a warm stop in my heart.) However, I sold it in order to try out the Nexus 6p and the MXPE. Although the Note5 is a really good phone, I'm super impressed with with Motorola and Google/Huawei have been able to do at their respective price points.

I have yet to try out a V10...I have to remember to do this when I pop into Best Buy later this week.
