What should a proper Moto x test? Mine was 8600 - 9100 on about 5 tests.

Also, I've been using Quadrant Standard for years - is this the best all around measurement of a phone? Antutu doesn't seem accurate to me.

Many people are using Geekbench variants and AnTuTu is supposed to "prevent cheating" however as seen above, it's not working. 3DMark is pretty solid and Vellamo is good, but it's made by Qualcomm so some people say it can have favoritism. If you opt not to use Vellamo, running SunSpider alone is interesting (it's included in Vellamo).

Generally, benchmarks are becoming obscurely specific or completely irrelevant, in that we've seen too many cases, such as the Moto X, where the results are very misleading compared to actual side-by-side comparisons with devices. In many cases the Galaxy S4 benched better than the Moto X, and it does have higher potential in theoretical performance, however everyone can see in real world tests that the Moto X is significantly faster and smoother at most tasks.

Let us not forget it is still a communication device.
By that I mean: how is it's antenna at picking up signal?
Various tests have implied that Moto X is not just good, but the best out there for LTE.
Which I find reassuring since I own one.
ha, Kinda like PimpMyPhone . com ;-)
