Moto X usb backup?

I am currently using a cloud service to backup my S4. When my X comes, I will also want to use a USB backup to my MacBook, in a similar way I backed up my old Iphone 5. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.

I would suggest installing Google Drive on your MacBook and Moto X, you 65 GB for two years with the purchase of the phone so you might as well put it to good use.

From what I understand the ability to have a Android phone show up as msss storage on a PC was removed with Android 2.2.2. You can still sync with apps like MyPhoneExplorer Client from Play Store (link here) to sync via USB or wifi.
