Moto Z at Best Buy

Wondering what the best deal might be without going back on contract. That dang $20 monthly increase goes a full 2 years. But is that what ya'll are doing? Buy for a buck, get the speaker mod and call it a day? Probably still need a battery mod also. I know the math works out decently in the buyers favor, but wondering if anyone got a decent deal from Verizon without going back to contract. Any discounts? Turn in an iphone maybe? I'm doubtful.
Anyone?

I went with the Z Force, so I'm looking at $20/mo plus $100 up front, plus $40 activation fee ($620). My wife gets a discount on Verizon through her work, so I believe there's a percentage off of the $20/mo, so that helps. Not sure if the discount would apply to a device payment plan like it does to a line access fee. Just gotta run the numbers on the different options and see where the math makes the most sense.

I have not updated in 5 years. I have a Nationwide 450 plan with Unlimited Data. plus I pay 10 bucks for 1000 test msg.
I wanted to update my Razr M thats unlocked and running CM12, so I went to the VZ web site two see what my new data plan and charges would be if I bought the Moto Z. My upgrade was 199 + 40 for activation. and my Plan was going to stay the same. with Unlimited Data. I called VZ to confirm and it was true so I ordered the phone. After ordering the phone, I seen the Best Buy deal for 1 dollar. So I cancelled my VZ orderl and pre-ordered the Moto Z on BB web site. It also said I was keeping my old plan with unlimited data.
My bill on a single line before the Moto Z was 92.xx per month. Now this months bill is $40.00 more for the activation but next month it should be back to the 92.xx per month. I get a discount through the company I work for,
Now lets see how long the UDP will last........
BTW, I really like the Moto Z, with the JBL speaker, battery life is great and the phone is very fast, coming from a Razr M.
Now I can't wait to get the thing rooted, but the speed of the phone is making it nice since I came from a slower phone.
