Moto Z Play says charging when not plugged in

I just got a new Moto Z Play and I've noticed that it says its charging when its not plugged in and when I do plug it in, it charges very slowly. Any suggestions?

That is a reboot. Some devices have the reboot in the shutdown options, some don't.
