Curious how smooth swapping mods will be with a "midrange" processor.

In case you forgot, a mid-range Moto Z Play with Snapdragon 625 is still coming | Pocketnow

Preliminary benchmarking data shows the upper mid-end Z Play as powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor instead of an 820, with 3, not 4GB RAM for silky smooth multitasking, and on-board storage ranging from 16 to 32 gigs.

The Moto Z and Z Force-matching 5.5-inch AMOLED display is expected to be downgraded from Quad to Full HD, aka 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, resolution, which should however contribute to increased endurance numbers alongside a souped-up 3,600 mAh battery.

So far, I'm liking what I see. Nice mid-range between the G4+ and the two other Moto Z models.

If this comes to the US, I feel it will be priced too close to the highest spec'ed G Plus ($300 64GB/4GB RAM).
