Android Central Question

Hey yall, just got the Moto Z2 play the other day. I was with a friend and my phone battery got low. I plugged into the car usb and later realized it wasn't charging. Is there a reason the charger didn't work? I used the same cord at home and it was fine with a wall outlet.

without knowing what car charger you were using, there are a few possibilities.
First may be that the charger wasn't powerful enough to charge the phone.
Car charger may have been off (was the power port [lighter] in the car powered on?, some are off when the car is off).
Port may not supply power. Some "ipod" ports don't supply ample power, but rather are mainly used for data connection to the radio.

If it is a vehicle factory (or a port on an aftermarket radio), let us know the vehicle or radio make/model.
If it's a "plug into the lighter" type plug, see what the amp/volt output rating is. Test with other phone, adapter may be faulty, since your cable is known to be good.

Under powered charger, insufficient for USB-C charging, perhaps?
What are the output amps of the charger used?
