motorola driver not installing properly.

hi,
so i tried to root my phone but when i went to install motorola drivers on my laptop. the motorola driver application got stuck on step 2. i cancelled the setup and tried again but still got the same reaction. i later realised i was installing an older version. i uninstalled the older one and tried to install the newer version but now whenever i try to install it, a small dialogue box opens up which says that the parameter is incorrect. i press ok and then it opens the motorola driver installer. the driver installer does nothing. help please.

Are you installing onto a pc? Did you get the drivers from Motorola? We don't specialise in rooting on this forum or windows PCs. You may get more dedicated help by going to XDA forums or to https://forums.windowscentral.com
