Does anyone know why the Motorola S9 HD bluetooth headphone don't fully function on the droid?

For example the next song, pause/play, previous song buttons don't work.

This headset fully worked on my BB Storm.

Just curious if anyone had any ideas or does the droid bluetooth not support certain aspects of bluetooth headsets?

Thanks!

Not sure. I have that headset but haven't paired it yet. I will try it out tonight.

I have those headphone and all features work perfectly on/with my Droid. In fact that was one of the main reasons I gave up my iPhone and went with the Droid. I use it all the time at the gym and for bluetooth audio in my Acura. Even the steering wheel skip buttons work with bluetooth.

Really? I have to give that a shot.

Bluetooth functions do not work on Droid.. Not with any headset... Hopefully they fix that ish with the update on the 22nd..

Wha???
I have absolutely no problem with mine.
My Droid had no problem pairing with my HDs and I've been using them for quite some time. Every button works as it should.

interesting that it works for you. i will try and pair it again and see what happens. thanks

I don't think my 08 altima will pair for audio :( only BT for calls! Bummerrrrr I as interested in these headphones for the droid for the gym buttt my gf just got me the nike plus for my ipod nano and it has been keepin me focused on running as much as possible...if only there were some obscure way to pair droid to the sensor in my nikes and use the bluetooth headset...but then I am just dreaming...balls

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

My S9 works perfect with my DROID....Yes all functions. It was the same headset I used with my Curve,Storm, and now my DROID.

So i tried it again today and the buttons on the S9 HD don't work with the Droid standard music player. They do work with Tune Wiki though? Odd.

Are you using the standard music player or a third part app like tunewiki?

I'm using the default player on the DROID and no problems. Its pretty odd that urs is acting the way it is.

I have the S9s and the other fatter headset (i forget the name) and they both work just fine with my Droid. The only thing i could think of is try restarting the phone. I know stuff will time out for me and ill have to restart my phone to get things to work properly sometimes.

I use my s9 HD while cycling and at the Gym and all functions work!! skip song, pause etc. For those who claim it doesnt work, pull your head out of your . Just kidding, seriously, make sure you go into bluetooth settings and set the profile for the heaset as media, not just phone. hope this helps.

Thanks everyone. I repaired the S9 with the droid and again the buttons don't work to switch songs, pause, etc..

They work fine with tune wiki though. Makes me think the handset and headset are both fine.

Not sure but I guess I'll live with it for now. Thanks

ok i found the issue for any of you having the same issue.

If you have TuneWiki installed you must go into the settings of TuneWiki and uncheck the use headset buttons for tunewiki instead of default player.

Once you uncheck this, the Motorola S9 buttons work for the default media player.

Only took 5 days but I'm a happy camper now. thanks
