Motorola Droid MAXX 2 - Android Nougat Update

When is the Motorola Droid MAXX 2 getting the Android Nougat update? Currently, it's on Android Marshmallow. I have been reading that Nougat will be released to it in November or December. My mother has this phone. If someone could give me some clarification on when this update is coming, that would also be appreciated.

Motorola has not and will not announce timing. The last thing that they want to do is to announce a date and then miss it because of an unexpected issue. Sorry to say, but it will come when (or if) it comes.

Lenovo/Motorola have a terrible record when it comes to security patches and updates. In this case you also have Verizon involved with their own terrible record of updating. Initial reports had the update being released by now I beielve but nothing we can do now but wait and probably wait some more.
