First I would like to say I am very pleased with the phone. I like it's style, it's speed, it's qhd screen.

I have switched from the HTC EVO 4g and in restoring my apps and music I ran into a issue. With the HTC EVO 4g I was using Media Monkey to sync my playlists with the phone. Now that I am on the Photon I attempted to use Media Monkey but hit a snag with it not placing the music they where I wanted. So I discovered the Motorola Media Link software for syncing.

In order to us the software I had a choice of Windows Media Player or iTunes. Since I am not crazy about Windows Medai Player I decided to give iTunes a chance. I got my music in place and got the playlist situated. I then connected the phone and the media link software came up and I set the sync for the playlists. The sync completed but when I go into the Photon and then my music library the playlist are not keeping the order that I had in iTunes, it actually places the songs in alpabetical order. I am at a loss as to how to fix this.

In addition I thought since I am using iTunes I will try to use the podcast feature and sync them to the phone since there is a special feature just for poscasts. I downloaded 3 episodes of 3 different posdcasts and synced via media link. When I go into the phone and look for my podcast in the music Libray were the poscast section is, the episodes are not there. Again I am at a loss on how to fix.

I am currently running windows 7 ultimate x64 with 6 gb of ram and a xeon quad core processor. The media Link software has a prefrenece listing but nothing happens when I click it. So as it seems there is no way to change settings on the software.

Please help with suggestions on how to fix or if there is forum for the media link software I am not seeing . . . . .

Thank you!

I have the same issue as well and it's quite Irritating. I just updated the MML and Itunes so I haven't tested to see if that is the issue. But MML is crashing before it completes the syncing of my playlist. Also, the not keeping the playlist order sucks!

I have a mac with I tunes, and I synched a bunch of playlists last weekend. I just checked to see what order they ended up in.

The playlists that are just a couple of albums (three joni mitchell albums, for instance) kept their order. all of one album comes first, and that album is ordered by track number. But the playlists that are compilations of random stuff are listed alphabetically by song name.

???

Works for me, as I usually the compilations in random order. But sort of annoying.
