Motorola One 5g keeps asking to choose default launcher.. please help

Sometimes when I hit home, it asks me if I want Smart Launcher to be my default. I select always but it still happens. It's already set as default in settings. I uninstalled smart Launcher and reinstalled it. Same thing keeps happening! It's very annoying, how do I fix this? I've googled and nothing has worked.

Check if there is a setting in the smart launcher settings where you can set it to default possibly

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have any 3rd party "RAM boosters" installed? Something like that could potentially be killing the app in the background at some point, so that the next time you tap Home, the phone thinks you don't have a default launcher set.

Can you try uninstalling Smart Launcher and installing some other launcher like Nova, and see if the same behavior occurs?
