Motorola One 5G UW ACE notifications

Hello, I have a One 5G UW ACE (Android 12), for the most part I have been pretty pleased with it; however I recently ran into a problem I hope someone can help me with. A couple weeks ago a symbol of a bell crossed out (slash upper left to lower right) appeared at the top right of the screen along with the battery % and other symbols. . I eventually found that this symbol indicates notifications are turned off. I have looked everywhere I can but all of the notifications seem to be set to notifications ON, for example under Notifications/APP notifications the Messages app clearly is set to ON, but no notifications take place.

Please help

Are you sure it's not the ring volume?

Welcome to Android Central! @Madd62 is correct -- you have the volume on Mute. Bring up the Volume slider by pressing one of the Volume buttons, and tap that Mute button -- you'll see options to Unmute and also for Vibrate Only.
