So it's been a couple of weeks and this is really starting to annoy me. About once a day the Motorola Services App will keep my phone awake for about 20 minutes or so and drain the hell out of my battery along with really heating up my phone. Do you guys know how to stop this?

Thanks.

AeroEngi,

I never experienced this either. Sounds like something is wrong...

What does Google voice have to do with anything? Just curious......

I was about to ask the same thing but than noticed you can disable Motorola Services from there. I'm not sure which other menu it can be done in.

Install google voice > settings > sync and notification > background data > unsync Motorola. It should stop the Motorola service

Hey thanks for the tip...I'll give it a try and see what happens.

I appreciate all the help guys.

What exactly does the Motorola Services sync anyway?

That is a very good question another good question would be how come it is in a hidden accounts menu that we don't have access to unles you install google voice. I asked both these questions in the Bionic forum on Motorola's site and got no answer. This does run on all the Motorola devices I have access to which include a Bionic, Droid X and a RAZR.

You can also access this menu using the yahoo mail app. Go into data manager and turn off background data. Yahoo will give you a notification that you need to enable background data for yahoo mail to work. Click on the notification and it takes you to the "hidden" menu.

I have experienced this error twice, Each time it did the same, drained 60-70% in 2 hrs since it wouldnt sleep.

It never did it before I set up a Smart Actions plan. I have since disabled smart actions and have never had it happen again.
