Ok so I installed miui a week or so ago and I absolutely love it with one exception, the compass was completely off calibration. Now to the best of my knowledge this is a gingerbread issue, which my current version of miui is based off of? I went through turning the phone on all of its axis but it was still messed up, so I began searching...what I found was a flashable zip of the file that controls the accelerometer and magnometer. (akmd2) I think that's what it was called....either way it was pulled off of another Motorola device running the same version of miui. So I flashed the zip, and there was a SIGNIFICANT improvement. The compass is accurate now, but it does jitter back and forth just slightly. I can live with that though, just need my compass working for work to properly locate DirecTV satellites without carrying around my inclinometer....I will upload the zip later in case anyone else runs into this issue, and I take no credit for this fix, just something I stumbled upon

I would like to install MIUI too. You mind to jot down a few lines of instructions, please, especially which package you use etc. Thanks,

bun

There's plenty of instructions in this forum buddy, you have to lookup rooting, then install a custom recovery and make a nandroid backup, wipe data and flash the miui ROM zip....all you gotta do is a little research....all the information is here, provided by excellent developers, and explained in plain English...good luck! Hope you are able to unleash the true power of your triumph
