As much as I love my Xoom, I have started to hate Verizon and there two year contracts as well. Decent deal if you didn't pick up a Touchpad during the fire sale at HP.

Their actually 2 year contracts and every carrier does it. Verizon is the only one who actually discounts them for CPO.

I'm an iPhone user and I'm in the market for a tablet with 3G or 4g. I won't get the iPad because it's pretty much the same thing as the iPhone. It's between the GT and the xoom.

How much is the data plan through Verizon? I only need 1 or 2gb per month.

1gb for $20 a month = no thanks

as for that xoom for 299, its refurbished so keep that in mind

I would just get the wifi Xoom and tether it to the iphone, even if you have to jailbreak the iphone.

Hmmm. That is true. I am limited to 2gb but I only need it for websites while I'm on my sales appointments. Even if I go over it's only $10/GB

I consider this to be a rip off due to the dataplans. I spent $500 on a Wi-Fi Xoom and added unlimited 4G hotspot to my Thunderbolt. Take that, $30 for 2 gigs!
