Mounting Fascinate Issues

Kernel 2.6.32.9

I used to attach my phone to the computer via USB and I would get the option to mount. After the update my phone will charge via the usb but I will not get the option to mount.

I've tried three options - Media Player, Mass Storage and Ask on Connection.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Hi, please try setting your phone to debugging mode

settings>applications>development>USB debugging

then plug in and wait 10-15 mins, if it doesnt work please let us know

I tried the debugging and waited for 10-15 for the three times I tried it and yet still no success. Any other suggestions?

Oh man, I had this issue for weeks. Had to unroot, and make verizon exchange it. None of the usual things worked for me, hope they do for you.

1. Uninstall drivers
2. Reboot computer
3. Reinstall drivers
4. With the battery out of the phone connect to a USB port in the back of the computer, press and hold volume down until the big yellow triangle pops up and wait a couple mins for the samsung composite drivers to configure.
5. Then disconnect, pop in the battery , turn on the phone and put it in debugging mode.
6. Connect the phone to the USB let it configure and try again

I am having a similar issue, not sure it is the same thing. I have my phone set on debugging mode. while the phone is unplugged it tells me that I have no accessabilty services. While the phone is plugged in it tells me connecting packet service. either way the phone does not go into debugging mode. Will the steps from above work with this issue, or is this something entirely different. Thanks

EDIT: Fixed the problem, had to reflash ED01 then reflash CR 1.3 and all worked
