Just got my 32 g Nexus 7 and sorting out most things but is there a way to move my desktop icons shortcuts for urls on PC to Nexus 7 screen for quick reference rather than retyping everything to Nexus 7 chrome and making them favorites...thanks run 12

You might be able to do some kind of copy/paste thing of the URL text, but the shortucts themselves aren't going to transfer at all. You'd have to go into the properties of each shortcut, copy the URL, and maybe put them in an email to yourself. Then you could copy the URLs from the email to put them into the N7. Maybe even just click on them from the email to open the shortcut, then bookmark or something. I haven't created URL shortcuts in Android before, so I'm foggy on that end of things, but I know you can't just transfer shortcuts from Windows.

You could create a new folder in your chrome browser, dump in your shortcuts and sync your Nexus chrome browser and desktop browser. Then you would have them on both systems. Then you could make shortcuts on your Nexus as you see fit.
