I have a Samsung note 8 and a galaxy watch. Would anyone recommend moving to one plus 6T
Thanks

I wouldn't, it's a complete down grade in user experience. Not that OnePlus makes a bad phone, it just isn't as good.

I wouldn't say downgrade just different take on what you want , one plus is as close to stock with very fast and customization while Samsung is loaded with bells and whistles and slower to update OS . all depends what you want .

I made the switch without any regrets 2 months in. Battery life is superior and the device is just snappier. The only thing I miss from a daily user perspective is not having Samsung Pay and wireless charging.

Can you live without spen and AOD? if so, I think you will like 6T. Otherwise, don't do it. I had Note 9, still have 6T but miss AOD the most.

I did the same and also love it and I have the Galaxy watch as well. Love the stock Android and battery life

I made the switch from Sham-shung. Best mover ever, I feel its an upgrade indeed. Sham-shung and ios Ripping folk off over pricing.
Never touch them again. EVER!

As to pricing, the one plus is 599. I picked up my S9+ for $480, and my S8 active was $490, nib from T-mobile. With Samsung, patience of a couple of weeks usually brings out the deals.

I bought my Oneplus 6T outright unlocked, 128 gb, 8 gig ram for £499 uk. My sim plan. O2, £11 pm unlimited text, unlimited calls. 8GB data. Very happy 👍

I had the OP6 before my S9+. It came down to the little things within the UI, and while i really, REALLY miss the gestures, the battery life, and having Pie, there were enough little things that it was missing for me to go back. The price difference was within about $30. If Samsung could get their update and battery issues together, it wouldn't be a comparison at all.

The weak vibration, camera, and missing built-in little features made me stick with Samsung this go around. We'll see what the future holds.

It's like moving from a BMW 320 to a WRX STi. For cheaper, The STi outperforms the BMW in almost every performance aspect of the car. It's faster, it's got AWD, it's more responsive to drive, and the sound of that engine growl is just awesome. You do lose on the QOL features though, like a better headunit software, the more comfortable seats, heating on all seats, the cup holders, the plush feel, etc.
Moving from a Samsung to a OnePlus will wow you with the performance. Apps open faster, games perform better, updates come faster. But then you'll lose QOL things like AOD, use of screen mirroring without third party apps, sharing notifications from phone to PC AND Samsung Tablets, rootless themeing with substratum, headphone jacks, a better screen overall, stereo speakers, the S Pen.
Basically it's just a question of what you care about on your phone. Do you care more for pure performance never mind all the little QOL features? Or would you rather have the QOL features that are built in and work better than third party add-ons?

Couldn't have given a better parallel

This is true. Note 8 is all about utilities to make things easier. I do use almost all of these features everyday (attached). Just screen, edge panel and camera are worth it. As said above you will be wowed by speed for a week and that's it with 6T. It's boring and need multiple steps to do a simple task which note can do like magic.

Have you tried the note 8 beta?
