Move or point app 2 sd

I just bought a 32gb sd only to learn ics does not allow apps2sd anymore :-/

I am using rdio and waht to have the music save there but I can not even point it.

Is my only option now to root? Why did they change this feature :'(

You probably do need to root in order for that to work like you want. It was changed in 4.1 as I recall.
