Move photos from email to Google Photos

Is there an easy way to get incoming emailed photos moved to Google Photos?

If you can get your email app to automatically download the attachments (not too good of an idea), then set Google Photos to automatically back up that device folder.

The safer (and more tedious way, if you have a lot of photos coming in) would be to manually download the attached photos that you need, and set Google Photos to automatically back up the folder they land in (likely Downloads)

If you use the Gmail app, you should see a Photos icon with a plus sign along the lower border of the photo (next to the Drive icon and the Download icon). That should add the photo to your Google Photos with one tap.

Thanks. I'm using a Gmail lookalike MYMAIL. I have tried Gmail a few times in past years, but have moved back to MyMail for one reason or another. Unfortunately, MyMail just includes the photos with no access except the ability to long press a photo and select a SHARE method which DOESN'T WORK. I've been using the SCREENSHOT method, but when there are multiple photos, the screenshot is not useful.
I'm reluctant to use GMAIL and was hoping that there was another way to move the photos.

Isn't there a small download symbol on the attachments? This should get them downloaded to your internal storage where you could have Photos automatically backing up.

There is no symbol with the photos. They are the contents of the forwarded email. Again, the only options are the SHARE methods that do not work.
I guess the problem can be solved by using Gmail instead of MyMail.
Thanks for your suggestions.

It's odd that any email app would not give you the option to at least download an attached photo. I would suggest emailing the MyMail developer and ask if they can add that functionality (or perhaps guide you to it if you're missing it somehow). androidmail@corp.my.com

Good idea. I had hoped that there, was a MyMail user out there that had experienced the same problem.
I agree with you that there is probably a solution that I'm missing. It's happened before.
Thanks again.

I guess I'll just have to switch to GMAI or live with the problem.
