Well i made the move and switched to the rezound. for those of you who are thinking of switching the tbolt is still an amazing phone and if you don't care about extra speed not a huge difference then hold out. I made the switch because i was on my fourth tbolt for various radio issues and other problems [could barley get signal or data at work]. The rezound radio is better for me. Yes I know i could have rooted.
I have to say the feature i miss the most from my tbolt is the kickstand. You dont realize little features do make a big difference. All in all the tbolt is a great phone. One more note I have to thank Frank and Jude if you read this thanks for all your help here in the forums kudos.

So did you pay upwards of $400 for a new phone or did Verizon give it to you?

Nice phone. Should be some great development for it.

Also just picked up extended battery with extended case that has kickstand built in

good luck with your new phone. Let us know how it goes as you use it. That's cool to get a kickstand with the extended battery and case. I use it a lot and it is one of the best physical parts of the phone!

The ext batt case is huge on the rezound though, thicker than on my tb. But yes the kickstand works well, and you can charge in landscape mode while using the kickstand, something the tb cant do.

The biggest thing for me was the sharp text. HD screen is way better than the thunderbolt especially for web browsing and small fonts. On my tb, the small fonts wrere kind of blurred. Not a problem with the rezound which has the highest ppi of any phone including iphone and gnex. It is faster, but not a huge amount so. I paid $50 on upgrade,so well worth it, but if it were a lot more, i probably would have waited.

I have to say with the extended battery and case the feel is almost the same as my tbolt. The rezound feels a little more solid in hand than the tbolt. but over all im starting to like it more and more. My point is the tbolt is still a rock steady phone once bugs were out. for me the switch was to a superior radio. A good root should do the same. Also I watch alot of movies on it the beats sound is amazing feel like in the movies.

Ah ok....... even though i'm very satisfied with my "free" TB, i think i could scrape together $50 for some dual core awesomeness lol. But, since the sale's long over with, and their back up to 249+ its a moot point.

I haven't noticed blurred print on the web using my Thunderbolt. I am thrilled with my phone. Everyone needs to be happy with their phone!

I was thinking about this phone but I'll hold out for the Gnex. I gotta have ICS on my next phone.

Since the update, I have been extremely happy with my unrooted TBolt. Had to call Verizon today and they are always interested in helping me use the upgrade w/discount I am sitting on. Told them not yet, though the Rezound does look tempting. At this point what I like best about the Rezound is the 20.00 battery.

Congrats on your new phone! :) Appreciate the Thunderbolt kickstand props. It really was an unexpected feature when I got the phone and has since become a much loved one and something I think I'd really have to have on a future phone. But truth be told, that's not the biggest reason the Rezound doesn't interest me. It's more so about the physical appearance, something that ranks very high on my criteria scale. I do like the Rezound's red accents, but the larger bottom bezel around the capacitive buttons is too large (reminds me of the EVO or Incredible). But what really kills it is the back, which to me is just fugly. But anyway, just my two cents. Carry on.... :)

I had the Bionic & The Rezound ..... The only problem with the screen on the the Bolt is in daylight. The Bionic is much better & I can see it with sungalsses on. The Rezound is a little better than the Bolt in sunlight & really I can't tell the difference unless you use a magnifying glass in other light! The speed on the Rezound was a little better, but the Bolt isn't really that bad. Some apps including Go Launcher EX has issues on the Rezound, especially with speed or wouldn't load. Build is better on the Bolt, expecially the back cover. If you remove the back cover on the Rezound more than ten times I think you will have issues .... & we thought the Bolt was bad in the beginning. I was afraid of twisting it or bending something putting it back on. The battery life wasn't really that much better. My Bolt now lasts 2-3 days & data is solid. I was going to try the Gnex, but it has other issues with Memory & no FM :( The Bolt is still one of the best & most solid performers out there. Granted some have had issues & we see that from all of the phones. I am on #4 out of 5 & most issues from the others were somewhat minor, but my Bionic was worse than any Bolt I ever had. The Rezound didn't have FM & could not use generic batteries. I know others may not like non OEM batteries, but I have had better luck with generics than OEMs :)

Cheers :)
