I tried to transfer an iTunes movie but it wouldn't play. is there a way to covert the m4v file so its playable on my droid?

They need to be in .mp4 format. I used h264 codec in Handbrake andconverted away. 1000kbps looks real nice for video bitrate.

I use handrake on a macbook pro. It produces movies that play great on the droid. I choose the "iphone/ipod touch" preset and rename the resulting m4v file as an mp4.

my issues are drm restrictions like on my star trek dvd.Does handbrake offer ways around drms for legally owned copies like my situation.

Yeah, handbrake handles drm just fine. On the mac for the newer versions of handbrake (http://handbrake.fr) you also need to install vlc player (VLC media player - Open Source Multimedia Framework and Player). I've used this program multiple times with no problems. The program is pretty robust and easy to use. If you want to give handbrake a shot and have questions/problems, pm me and I'll help you out.

Handbrake user here also.. Works like charm. I plug in my Hero to my Macbook,start up doubletwist, drag and drop my movie.. BADA BING!
