Please note i'm not sure if this is a result of rooting or an app I just installed so please forgive me if it's n the wrong place

I just rooted fine on my mac. and I installed "hide it pro" to move some stuff over there. i noticed that now my movies that I have put on my sg3 are showing in the photo gallery (they were never there before) Has anyone else had this happen to them?

I don't know if it's because I installed the app and configured it so it messed with my photo gallery or not.

It's probably not due to rooting or your new app, methinks, coz that happened to me ? with a 100% stock GS3.
Nevertheless, I've yet to figure-out why it happened.

If the media folder (video) is empty, then the gallery will not show it as an album. once you add valid content to the folder it will show up in the gallery as an album.

But these are my movies that I downloaded and watch on the vid player...should they still show up? It's been a few weeks and they didn't move over until today. so would I need to make another folder and put them there?

Unsure as to the timing, but you really don't need to do anything unless you find it annoying. You can always use the .nomedia trick to prevent it from showing in the gallery. Just create a file in the folder you want to hide and name it .nomedia
