I just got the xoom this morning and am very impressed with it so far. However, I am at a loss for how to get movies and TV shows loaded on it. I use blockbuster for my droid x to rent movies but don't see any blockbuster app for the xoom. Some of the literature that the sales people at best buy had showed that I would be able to watch stuff with netflix and amazon but I don't see how to do that either.
Any ideas?? Is it simply a matter of waiting for the flash update?

The Tegra 2 is going to be compatible. They said that they are working on Netflix when the Tegra 2 was announced. The other processor is saying that they will get their first though.

I downloaded Skyfire browser from the Market which will play Flash animation but it isn't working 100% on the Zoom yet. The videos will play but with a little Window in the center of the screen saying that it is optimizing the video that won't go away.

If enough people make comments on the Skykfire website asking for them to make it Honeycomb compatible they should update it to correct this issue. I'm still using it for short videos I really need to see because for one thing the audio plays just fine.

When you are using the Skyfire browser and want to play a Flash video you don't click on the play button on the flash video itself. A little box opens in the bottom left-hand corner of Skyfire that you click on to play that video. it takes a minute for the video to start playing but it will play from my experience unless you have a very poor Internet connection.

The processor isn't the problem with the DRM - it is the application that isn't compatible with the processor and chipset functions. For mobile devices, they customize the DRM code to be efficient on the platform because DRM is basically encryption.

Once they get Tegra 2 optimized DRM code it will be available.

Wow. Check this out guys:

YouTube - Motorola xoom how to get your free tv shows and movies

I don't have my Xoom yet, but this seems awesome.

Too many steps/apps to accomplish the end result. Get PLAYON ($20.00 a year $70somthing for life) and stream your netflix, hulu etc, until your heart is content. I believe they offer a 14 day free trial.

market link PlayOn Mobile - Android app on AppBrain

www site | PlayOn | Watch Hulu, CBS.com, MLB.tv, Netflix, and more on your TV with PlayOn!

I have this and it works really well on my Incredible and my (don't laugh) Galaxy Tab.

I just torrent the shows from eztv.it and DropBox them to my XOOM.

As for movies, I'm working out the best settings for Handbrake.
