Moving apps to SD card/Uninstalling default apps on my ZTE Blade (2.3.5 Gingerbread)

Hello!

I have an old ZTE Blade running Android 2.3.5 and as most of you probably know this phone does not have much internal storage memory, just 150 MB, wich brings me to my problem. I'm wondering why there are so many apps that I am unable to move to my external micro-SD memorycard (for example Facebook and Gmail)? I already moved all the apps that I could (for example Skype and Sportstracker) to my memorycard but I would really like to move a few more, preferably without rooting. Is this at all possible or are they absolutely locked to the (tiny) internal memory?

Alternatively I would like to know if there is some way I could uninstall some of the default apps that were installed when the phone was brand spanking new? For example I can not in any way shape or form see a good reason to keep both the E-mail and the Gmail apps when I only use the later one, wich I dont use very much, I find this downright stupid to be honest.

Can someone please tell me if either of these alternatives are possible, and if so how to do it aswell?
And if not, I would like a clear explanation of why it is not possible, for example why Im forced to have two e-mail appss installed even though I only use one?

Im sure many of you will just tell me to buy a newer and better phone with more internal storage capacity, but as a student with no more than 800 euros of income/month, and expenses like rent of roughly 350/month, food, fuel, car insurance and a bunch of other bills to pay, I can not in any way afford to spend 100s on a phone, Im lucky I even got my hands on a smartphone at all!

Just in case you have not found an answer, there is a very nice step by step instruction here.
1. However, the SDK may not install the adb where it is expected (that is, in program files). In that case, it will be found in C:users-your username-appdata-Local- Android (the rest as it should be in the instruction).
2. Secondly, the last command that should redirect the default as the sd card is written as "adb shell pm setInstallLocation 2". However, if it does not work, use: adb shell pm set-install-location 2.

Works like charm! Best wishes

I have a Verizon Samsung Note II and I was able to change the default location to the external SD card, location 2, but when I try to install anything, it says insufficient space, yet I have 36 GB free. I changed it back to location 0 and it allowed me to install it.

I also don't get the move to SD card buttons to move existing apps to the sd card either? I am running android V 4.1.2 rooted.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong here? I REALLY need to move apps as I am out of space.

Thanks for any help

Tom
