Moving back to America with my 802w which carrier should I choose?

I have the HTC One 802w. And will be moving back to Chicago for the fun of unemployment and job searching. Needless to say a mobile phone will be a necessity, but I'm curious what are my options? In the past I've used T-Mobile and Sprint, but I don't think I really need a contract or a subsidized phone.

Also I have two SIM slots. I'm I better off going with a local carrier and just getting another local SIM if I travel to another city for an interview?

Thanks

Why AT&T? I think that is the first time anyone has ever said anything good about AT&T to me...

I got rid of AT&T about 5 years ago due to constant dropped calls.

Now that is the AT&T advice I'm familiar with but I've been out of the mobile market for 3 years. Maybe AT&T doesn't drop calls anymore or mess up billing.
