Moving from Lumia to S8 and i have a few questions and need help with a few things

hey i'm getting an S8 tomorrow and I want to know a few things

1. will I need to format my sd card when I switch phones kinda don't want to I still have a bunch of pictures I took on my lumia 950 and don't want to copy em over but if I have to because android uses SD cards differently I guess i'd have to

2. anybody used groove music on android I keep getting conflicting sources that it sucks like I can't store songs on an sd card and it's slow and other things and I want to know if I should just switch back to Spotify(don't really want to because the UI is ugly to me but if I must so be it)

3. anybody know if it's possible to recover WhatsApp messages from windows to android I know I guess I could use the WhatsApp file it uses when it backs it up but I want to know if that works across platforms or it'll just all be gone

4. anybody know a good app to move text messages and call history from windows mobile to android or if there's any built in ways of doing it

4) SMS Backup & restore (provided that it works on Windows. It should)

Welcome to the forum.
1. Not sure, but there are only a couple ways to format a microSD so I'd try it first. But, see no. 4 .
2. Can't help here, I use Poweramp.
3. Don't use Whatsapp
4. You will receive a port dongle with your S8 that is used to make a cable transfer from your old phone to the S8. I am not sure if a Lumia is compatible, you might search the forum, or Samsung, for "smartswitch" and see what turns up. It did a great job on my S7 to S8 and also backed up the SD card in the process.
