Hi All,

I am receiving my second Android phone on Tuesday, the TMobile G2. I currently have the myTouch 3G Slide.

I know that using my gmail account will sync my contacts and calendar, and the emails account aren't a concern. But, what is the method for bringing my apps from the 3G Slide to the G2? Do I re-download them from the Android Market?

Thanks!

You could root, and back them up with titanium backup. Or you could use appbrain.

If you have allowed google to back up settings, once you enter your account info, your apps should start downloading. They will not be full backups with settings the same. For that you will need titanium backup or mybackup pro for that and root like the poster above stated.

If I pull the 4GB MicroSD out of the MTS 3G, will my bookmarks, etc make the move to the G2, as well?

Thanks!

They might if you use the same browser. What else do you want to transfer?

Contact and Calendar should sync when I register the phone with my gmail address. My pictures are on the micro sd card. I use the stock browser, so I would like to have the current bookmarks move over, too.
