Hello all. I currently have the Note 9 on T-Mobile. Even though I have only had this device a year, it feels like it is getting a little long in the tooth for me. At least the battery is. I am having to charge the battery twice daily now.

I ordered the Galaxy S20 with trade in for my Note 9 and T-Mobile gave me 500 dollars off the device, bringing it down to only 400 bucks. That's a great deal honestly.

Is this a worthwhile upgrade? One thing I feel that I would benefit from is the fact that the S20 appears to have a faster charger. That is great to me. I just wish it had a bigger battery at say maybe 4500-5000 mah. I also love all the specs and the fact that it has supposedly a better camera and more ram. 12 gb? That's crazy.

I honestly won't miss the S pen as I never use it. The main reason I picked up the Note 9 was because it was at a good deal when I purchased it. And I won't miss having a gigantic form factor phone. I am given to believe that the S20 is a bit smaller than the Note, which is fine with me. I came from the LG V30 before it, and I'm still used to 6.0 or 6.2 or so phone display. Let me know any quirks that I should know about with the device.

I did the N9 > N20 ultra. Definitely an upgrade imo but I'm not thrilled with the battery life compared to the N9. I'm giving it time though before I complain lol

Hmm... Strange given that the Ultra has a 5000mah battery. You would think it would be better, if at least not just a little bit.

I did the Note 9 to S20 upgrade and almost immediately regretted it. Everything was great, but the screen size was smaller. I thought I would be ok with a smaller device and screen, but realized how I missed the larger screen. So I took it back and swapped to the S20+, which is about the same form factor as the Note 9 but the screen size is a little bigger. The Ultra was just too big a form factor for me. I thought I would miss the S-pen, but like you I rarely used it for some reason, so I haven't missed it.

For me, battery has been extremely nice compared to the Note 9. Even using the 120hz setting, I'm getting 1-2 hours MORE screen on time than I was getting with the Note 9, so I was pleasantly surprised. Also I have noticed that apps in the background don't get killed as quickly as they would on the Note 9 - guessing the extra RAM allowed Samsung to not be as aggressive in memory management.

I've been very happy with the upgrade - no regrets here.

I'm 2nd day in from note 9 to note 20 ultra. Very pleased now that I've almost got it the way I like it. Always takes a bit ,but so far so good.

I switched from the note 9 to S20 and so far it has been great. I do miss the spen but beyond that, the s20 is a much faster device and better overall. Yes screen is a bit smaller but I am ok with that for now. Honestly was getting a bit tired of big phones so this is a good change for now. Battery has been good about the same as the note 9 even on 120hz. If I leave at 60hz, battery is actually better and phone better optimized.

Just my personal experience.
