Moving from Windows phone

After a year and a half on Windows phone, I'm finally returning to Android. I'm feeling a bit like a newbie since it's been a while since I've not done anything more on Android than help friends and family with settings. I've ordered a Blu Studio Energy 2. Right now I've been working on catching up on app changes using my old slow Motorola photon on jelly bean.

I've imported all my contacts from Outlook.com to Google and I guess I can do the same with my calendar (I'm not terribly concerned about keeping them synced between Microsoft and Google, although if there's a way to do that, that would be great).

I know that OneDrive and OneNote are available (and better) so that's covered. I don't imagine there's many apps on WP that I can't find on Android. :-) I think the only one that's important to me is finding a replacement for Realarm. The main important feature on that is that I can skip a single occurrence of an alarm without turning off the alarm. What is a good alternative to that?
Are there any must-have apps?I'm super excited to have SwiftKey back. It was the single thing that kept me from switching to Windows phone originally for a long time. I know I'll need a launcher since I hear the one that comes on my phone is lacking things like an app drawer (not sure what you do without that). I used nova before, but I see there are a ton of new ones. Any recommendations?
I'm also wondering what major changes from jelly bean to lollipop 5.0 there are that might be relevant.

Thanks for any tips!

Welcome back to Android!
I can skip a single occurrence of an alarm
Google's version of Clock has an alarm built in. Once you get within a certain time of the alarm, it shows up in the notification shade. You can pull the shade down, then do another pulldown of the alarm notification to expand it (this can be done on most other notifications as well). When expanded, you can dismiss the alarm without turning it off.

I do that whenever I wake up before my alarm goes off.

I've had my phone for a couple days and love it! I ended up going back to Nova Launcher, and I've discovered Google keyboard, which is great.

I was wondering about the calendar settings. I installed and use Google calendar, but there is the built in calendar. There's no option to disable that calendar, and if I remove my account from that calendar, it doesn't show in Google calendar. I turned off notifications but noticed this morning that they are back on, so I'm getting double calendar notifications. Is there a way to fix this?

The other question I have isn't as big a deal, but is there a way to limit the folders that show up in the gallery? When I go to text a picture, I see picture folders for every single folder that has even one picture in it on my SD card. I ended up just deleting that folder, but is there an option or third party app to show specific folders?

ETA: I just found another photo app (quickpic) by chance that does exactly what I need.
