Moving photos to Windows desktop

While I was on a trip I hooked my phone up, via USB to a Win 7 laptop, which recognised it immediately and I was able to move photos from the phone.

Now that I'm home, I try the same with a Win 7 (64 bit) desktop and it doesn't even recognise I've connected the GS4 to the computer, other than charging very slow, as these are wont to do from PC power.

Any ideas why it isn't?

This is a fairly fresh install of Win 7 without any lockouts. Possible there's no 64bit driver?

I can't address that problem, but I use Airdroid, an app from the play store that let's you transfer files from your phone to your desktop and vice versa wirelessly.
