So I'll be moving to SW Nebraska in 6 weeks. It's a job related move, and my current carrier is Sprint - and of course there's no Sprint coverage in SW Nebraska.
My choices appear to be Verizon and a regional carrier Viaero Wireless. Both offer 4gLTE in the area so that's not an issue. Both look to be about the same price for four phones. However Verizon certainly has a better selection of Android phones.
It's been years (12 to be exact) since I've been with Verizon - all I read about them now is that they lock down their phones pretty tight and rooting can be pretty difficult. However all of my friends that have VZW like them. And for what I'll need, the price will be comparable to what we're paying with Sprint.
For me, it's about doing with my phone what I want to do with my phone - if that means rooting it, then I want to be able to root the damn thing. Does VZW really make it that difficult? Because if I'm getting a new phone I want the HTC One or a Gs4 (currently have a Gs3 on Sprint) - but looking over CyanogenMod's download list there doesn't appear to be a stable 10.1 or 10.2 release for the Gs4.
