So on my iPod I have 9gb worth of songs all downloaded from iTunes. I began transferring these songs to my X (knowing that not all songs would transfer due to protected AAC) but def felt that with 14gb available it would be no problem. I got halfway through syncing when my sd card stopped transferring and said it was full!

I checked the SD storage and it says I only have 1.35gb available and it wont let me transfer anymore songs. How did I use up 13gb of storage? Help!

I only got halfway through syncing my library.:(

Did you transfer as mp3 or as acc files?
If you did mp3 the compression rate is not as good as acc and the files will be larger.

OK I plugged my phone into my Mac and noticed that the files were transferred over in the form of both m4a and m4p. All I did was connect my X, open iTunes, drag and drop into my media folder in my X. Your right in that I need to get these files transferred over in mp3 format, any idea on how to do that with my Mac and how I did it the first time. I really appreciate your help.

itunes preferences is automatically set to convert songs into AAC format. To get itunes to convert to mp3: open itunes, select preferences. A box will pop up and near the bottom of the box it says:When you insert a cd and it has choices like "ask to import cd", next to this is a rounded button that says import settings, open this. A new box pops up and you select the first button and change it to mp3 encoder. Then you can create mp3 files of all of your songs by right clicking on the song in itunes. Right clicking brings up a box and half way down you select create MP3 version. A little bit of a pain, but it can be done. I have a mac as well, good luck :)
