Hi. I recently got a Verizon S3 and I've (1) rooted it using the Casual rooter, (2) installed the Samsung Multi Window Manager by BJB, Inc., and (3) patched the phone using the i939 patch (since apparently *any* patch will work on this phone). I might be unclear on what I should expect, so I'd appreciate any comments. I can add apps to the Multi Window sidebar using the app. I tested the Multi Window capability with apps that were added to the list automatically. For example, I opened the Kindle app, and it went full screen. I then dragged in the Gallery app, and got the split-screen bluish overlay indicating that Multi Window was working. I can use both apps properly at the same time.
What I'd really like, though, is to have the Google My Tracks app and PowerAmp open in multiwindow mode. I can't make that happen. If I open PowerAmp, then try to drag My Tracks over it, I get the half-screen blue overlay, but then My Tracks simply takes up the whole screen. If I do it in the opposite order-- open My Tracks and then drag on PowerAmp, the blue overlay is over the whole screen and PowerAmp is full-screen.
Am I doing this wrong somehow? Is there something else I need to do to make this work, or are some apps simply incompatible with Multi Window? Any thoughts or explanations would be appreciated.
