Multiple Accounts - Display Contacts Separately?

I have multiple gmail accounts on my phone. one is personal use and other is business, which is linked to my google voice number.

right now what I am doing to "separate" my contacts is I have on my business account I have the name of my contact but in front of it I put letters to separate them from my regular personal contacts. example is:

if my contacts were for android forum I would put AF Cust - Customer Name - Business Name

Right now this is the only way I know how to separate my personal contacts from my business contacts.

Is there a way to only show the personal or the business contacts, or a application that works with the contacts like that instead of me having the extension in the front of the names? I rather be able to just click on a checkbox maybe that will show my specific gmail accounts contacts if I want to view them. if I want to view all of them, I just check the box and it shows me the names. if I want to view just my personal, uncheck the business box. if I want to view the business contacts just uncheck the personal email account.

now I know I can do this also by going into the settings and account and unchecking the contacts box per account, but if there is a shorter way or app that does this for me, ofcourse its easier.

thank you!

Re: multiple accounts with contacts seperation

Use import/export to put your contacts in the appropriate gmail account.

I'd say the easiest option would be to use a different contacts app for your business contacts.

which contacts app should I try? any recommendations?

Not sure about your phone or android version, but in the contacts app you can select which account you display. By default the app displays all. Go to settings and check that. I've got two Gmail accounts and do that.

Is that what you're asking about?

THIS

Screenshots added to show. You click the 3-dot menu, select the option to choose which contacts to display then select the account to show your contacts from. The screenshots are reversed but you get the idea.

About right :)

OP said he is aware of this but wants and easier way to switch between the two lists on the fly.

Anyway, Contacts+ is a decent alternative contacts app that you could run alongside People.

I think that was a recent edit of the original post. I don't remember reading that before I answered. Sorry if I'm wrong about this. It'd mean that I didn't pay enough attention to the question.

Note. If you see the thread on mobile view (not the app) you can see the last edit in the date.

My understanding of that comment by the OP was they were noting going into phone settings, accounts and turn off contact sync for the account you don't want to see.
