HI all,

I just purchased a Nexus 7 for my son. I want to use my Google account for the Play store so that he can access the kid apps that i have purchased in the past for him under my account. However i want to use his own google account for hangouts (and probably gmail). Is there a simple way to do this? Is the only way to setup multiple users on the device? I would prefer if i could state which account should be used for which google app.

thanks a lot!

They added some pretty nice multi-user tools for 4.3. I would suggest doing a second user account for him. I'm not sure if what you want to do will be totally seamless, but it should be doable. Dunno if any of these links might be helpful:

How to use Android 4.3's 'Restricted Profile' feature | Android Central
Android 4.3's restricted profiles: Easy to use, but here's the catch | How To - CNET

Thanks a lot. Just received it today and setup the multiple profiles. I setup my son's account as a restricted account where i get to chose which apps he sees, but unfortunately Hangouts is one of the few apps that i cannot enable under this type of restricted account. I'll try to keep playing around and see what i can do.
