multiple accounts on the gmail app on kitkat

Hi I am a new user of the google nexus 5. I am wondering how to set up multiple accounts on the gmail app. I have been trying and cannot find an option to do so like in the stock email app. On the playstore it says that thw gmail app can manage multiple accounts but I just cant find the option

Please assist. Thank you

Turning off conversation view in Gmail Web doesn't affect the Android Gmail app, which retains conversation view.

Not possible. The current Android Gmail app only supports conversation view. Perhaps you are referring to the Android stock e-mail app?

You are correct. I was confusing it with the default inboxes such as social, personal, important, etc. My instructions eliminate them and put it back to just one inbox like it used to be.
