Multiple devices on one account. Reset phone.. what re-loads?

I've got a phone and a tablet on the same google account. When I first turned on the tablet it kindly loaded every app I've got on my phone.

If I uninstall an app from the tablet, and then down the road I need to reset my phone (to root of course) - what reloads from google to the phone? Will it take the phone's most recent app list, or the ACCOUNT's most recent google backup?

Re: Multiple devices on one account. Reset phone.. what re-load

It would take the Accounts most recent Google Backup. The only app list "stored" on the server side of the market is your paid apps. Backup keeps the rest.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I don't think I even have any paid apps, just the freebies :D

So it sounds like when I'm ready to unlock the bootloader on my phone which does a factory reset, I should turn off the tablet for a few days beforehand so that Google sets my backup app list from my phone..

Re: Multiple devices on one account. Reset phone.. what re-load

If you go on the market from a computer, you can see that it has all the devices on the account listed seperately. So I would assume it keeps separate backups for each. For example, I have my Inspire and Revue on the same account. It doesn't reinstall apps for Google TV to my phone, or vice versa.

Also, rooting doesn't reset the phone, but it does when you flash a new ROM.

The first step is unlocking the bootloader which apparently does wipe the phone..

Which phone is that? On my Inspire, the root process left everything intact.
