I searched first, so please forgive if this has already been answered!

Two questions:

1: The phone came with the Gmail app for handling my Gmail, but I also have two other AOL accounts. So, I added the 'Mail' program and got the two AOL accts on there and all is good.
However, I hate the fact for the Mail icon, I have to click the down arrow to switch between the two AOL accts. Is there a way I can have two 'Mail' program icons, one for AOL acct#1 and one for AOL acct#2?
I plopped down another 'Mail' program on the home screen, but it doesn't allow you to do one account and the other a different one. It keeps wanting to make both 'Mail' programs the same (ie. still has both AOL accts under each icon).

2: IF there is a way to somehow separate two different Mail program icons, each for a different email account, can the program name under the icon be renamed at all so you know which Mail icon is for which email account?

Thanks in advance!

On one of your homescreens click on the + button, then select shortcut, the select Mail Inbox. It will then prompt you for which mail account you want to like with the shortcut.

Thanks Cory!

Well, with that, it plopped a Mail icon with 'AOL-acct#1 name', but when I plopped another down and hit 'Add new Account' and added AOL acct#2, it made both Mail shortcut icons named 'AOL-acct#1 name', and inside each, I still have tap the down arrow on the top/left to switch between the two... Hmmm... Did I set them up wrong?
Thanks!

Are you sure you selected the 2nd account when you added the 2nd icon? If you did, then I'm lost, because when I did it, it named each icon to match the name I had given the account, and it also opens their respective mailboxes.

Yea, I must have messed something up :) When I deleted the 2nd Mail icon and re-added it, it brought up a pop-up window of both AOL accts and I selected the 2nd one. It added a 2nd Mail icon named correctly.

Thanks again for your help! :)

i added a 2nd gmail account, which is technically is google apps email account. i added this through the gmail app. now when i try to create 2 shortcuts for each 'inbox' label, both icons say INBOX. is there a way to rename them so i can tell which is which?

Would you care if all the emails came in one inbox? You can configure Gmail to recieve multiple email addresses to one account.

I wouldn't mind if gmail received all my email, But how could I select which account i would like to send from?

When you hit menu->compose, you'll see the default email account at the top of the screen. it'll say "From:Exchange Activesync", for example. If you press the "From: Exchange Activesync" you'll get a pop up which allows you to select which email you want to send from.

Not to hijack but im in the same boat. I was able to do the shortcuts as you said but want to rename my work email icon from exchange active sync to Police mail. Is that possible?

James,

I see at the top of the screen "myname@gmail.com" but when I press that part of the screen, nothing happens, I have two other accounts imported by Google. There is no from field on the screen when I compose a new email ether..

Thanks

That's exactly what I needed to make two separate non-gmail accounts work on my home screens. Thank you!
