Multitasking/Dual screen tab?

I'm not sure what happened, but the half circle white tab which I used to click to give me a list of apps that I could bring up to multitask with is gone. I cant find the setting to bring it back, and am not sure what the correct name is for it. Can anyone help?

Hold down the "back" key or select it from the drop down notification screen.

Look in your notification center and see in the setting is on if not turn it on the the circle does not appear then press and hold the back key..
