Multitouch only works with two fingers max?

So I went to a Sprint store recently and was playing around with the EVO. Being a musician, I downloaded a piano/keyboard app and found that it only registered up to two simultaneous touches, but nothing more.

This is obviously a problem if you want to create chords. I need more than two touch points.

I guess I'm going for the epic 4g which has up to 5 fingers on its multitouch.

No no no. Evo has 5 multi touch capability, all you have to do is flash a custom kernel and you get 5 (or 3, for some unlucky people out there without the required hardware for 5, but most Evo's are capable of 5)

This kernel works with EVERYTHING, including cameras and 4G. Plus, you get about 50-55 fps with this kernel.

I don't want to have to root my phone to get that stuff to work.

And yes, it is my reason. I'm a professional musician and it's very important that I have that ability. I just have a difference use than you do. It's like telling a business person that it doesn't have email capabilities. That's how important it is to me.
