Music and Gingerbread

Anyone having problems with the music player/pandora on gingerbread?? It seems like every time I get a text or open the messaging app the music stops or skips songs, or just randomly. This has happened on all GB ROMs I've had...CM7, UD 3.0 & 3.1 and Simply Stunning 5.0

When I had PE v5.01, the same thing always happened. The music would cut off if I opened up the web browser while playing music, or oftentimes when I performed any other activity (such as receiving a text or basically opening up any other app). Partly why I switched back to PE v4.2 for now. Hopefully the devs will master the aggressive Gingerbread app killing one day

Yeah, hopefully soon too cuz I listen to my music while I'm at work a lot and it is really annoying...

Same here. If I try to do anything else, Listen will stop playing. I think I've even had it stop playing when I went to the home screen once.

Yeah, its like if you have to make the CPU do more than play music it shuts it down.

Apparently, Peter Alfonso's new GPA14 Stock ROM has this issue fixed. Pete made some tweaks that allow the Droid to fully multitask on Gingerbread.

Wow, I can confirm that it works... I browsed Android Central (which is a pretty data-intensive page) while listening to music, and no interruptions whatsoever... Even the stock 600mhz kernel is blazing on this ROM, I honestly don't know how Pete did it. Looks like I'm back on Gingerbread! I can't wait until he builds a Bugless Beast from this!

Yeah I'm waiting for a BB version before I use it tho...I don't think I could use a stock ROM anymore...thats sweet it works good!

And I can verify that the new SS 5.2 build has fixed this issue also, I used my music and pandora a lot at work last night and didn't have a single issue!!!

And just now at 20% battery life running 1Ghz and used the **** outta my phone!
