Hey,
I've just switched from an iphone 4 to a Samsung Galaxy s4 and so glad to have the smother loading speeds, bigger, clearer screen and stronger battery.
There is a lot I need to learn about using an Android. 3 questions:

1.) How do I download music to this phone?
2.) Am I able to transfer the music I have on my iphone 4?
3.) How do I find ringtones?

Welcome to Android Central! This guide may be useful to you in general: http://forums.androidcentral.com/general-help-how/399060-guide-getting-started-android-2014-a.html.

There are many options for music. The main one is Google Play Music, which allows you to stream your Google Music Library over the web, and also to download music temporarily to your phone for offline playing. This downloaded music is intended for the Google Play Music app only, not for 3rd party music apps. There are other streaming services as well, as I'm sure you're aware, like Pandora, Spotify, Slacker, etc. There may be some legitimate free music download sites, but I would guess that many more of them are illegal (if it's free).

The best way to get the music on your current iPhone would be to upload your entire iTunes library to your Google Music Library using the Google Music Manager program for your computer. Once uploaded to your Google Music Library, you can then stream it using Google Play Music from any Android device or computer browser.

Zedge is one of the best known sites for ringtones. They have a website and an app. But you can use any mp3 or wav file as a ringtone. You just need to transfer the file into Ringtones folder (using a file manager app). There are some good ringtone editing apps out there as well, like RingDroid.

Hope this gets you going!

B. Diddy,
Thank you a bunch for such a detailed and informative answer.
I've never used Google Play before so I do not currently have a Google Play library. Is this an app? I might look into it though I've downloaded Pandora because I'd heard some good things about it from my mother. Haven't tried it out yet however.

The necessity for me to transfer my iphone music is actually under consideration, I may just begin a new library with this Google Play. Technically I could just continue to use the iphone as strictly an ipod but to have to carry both phones around would be a hassle.

Alright. I do have a Google account I just don't do much with it. I'll look into this though thank you.

EDIT: Ugh, you forgot to mention it costs money. Can't do it.
