Getting ready to make the switch from iPhone 5 to Nexus 5. One question I hope you all can answer. I use the headphones that came with the iPhone to talk and also listen to music. You can answer the phone with headphones and hangup. With music you can adjust volume and skip forward/back with from headphones. If I plug in the iphone headphones into Nexus 5 will it work the same? This is using the clicker on the headphone cable.

No, the volume controls do not work with Android. Everything else should work. Apple seems to hold a patent for volume controls on wired headsets.

The music controls work just fine on the wired earbuds on my Galaxy S3. (As well as my previous S1) Not sure why they wouldn't on the N5. I don't know about using your iPhone earbuds on your N5....they may not.
Good luck with your new device! :)

Again, as previous comment - I have an S3 and Note 10.1 3g, I'm able to do all of those things with my ear buds, and headphones with inline controls. If it's a deal breaker and the N5 cannot do this, consider a Samsung device.

LOL!

Volume controls work on mine. These are the Beats earbuds I got with my Rezound. The annoying thing for me is that this is ALL that works..I can't change tracks, only volume.

Oh well. It's a minor annoyance but I can live with it.
