music missing

I just went into my Google music and my files and any music I had downloaded has disappeared!how do I get it back?

Welcome to Android Central! Did you download the music directly from the Google Play Music app? If so, those files don't show up in your user directory for manipulation -- they're intended for offline use by the Play Music app only. If you want to manipulate the files, download them on your computer browser from your Play Music library site, then copy them to the phone via USB.
