I recently added a small group of about 60 songs to my Incredible onto the phone's internal storage to get a feel for how syncing works, etc. All of these music files are perfectly functionable and play well within a playlist I created in the stock music player.
I've heard a few things about how music only works when stored on an SD card, so I'm wondering what the deal is here. As I said, everything works in the stock player, but I'm unable to view or play these files in any type of custom app such as Ringdroid, doubleTwist, Mixzing, etc because these apps only recognize SD card storage.
Is it just me or does something seem kinda weird about all that? I mean you get about 6.6GB of free storage to work with out of the box, with 750ish reserved for app storage. Makes sense to me to store stuff like music on the other 5.9GB, which if you have a lot of like me, takes up a great deal of space (more than the 2GB SD card can handle that comes stock - I've also noticed a lot of apps like to store data on the SD card, and since it's smaller than the internal storage, I'd prefer to keep that small space reserved for when apps need it in the future).
Edit: I have already successfully loaded this music onto the SD card and played it via the aforementioned apps. However, it is my preference to store on the internal storage and am interested to see if anyone has any comments on the matter and whether or not these types of apps will ever be able to implement use of internal storage.
