Music Shuffle doesn't work?

I've been using my Incredible when I go bike riding every day...I also play music while running CardioTrainer. One of the biggest problems I've noticed is the shuffle function--it will play one song a couple of times throughout my bike ride, while not playing others. Any idea why this keeps happening?

I noticed this on 2.1, as well. I would load my full playlist (800+ songs), but I would hear the same tracks (sometimes multiple tracks) in the space of an hour or two. This seems to just be a deficiency in how the HTC music app selects tracks at random -- it doesn't handle recently played songs appropriately. I don't use shuffle all that often, so it doesn't bother me, but you might try the DoubleTwist music app instead (in the market).

No idea as to why this is happening, but it's happening to me as well, it's pretty annoying!
